Rose Coral GALLERY

Manicina areolata

There are two growth patterns of Rose Coral. Some scientists think they are separate species. The round, half-dome shaped species is sometimes called Tortugas Rose Coral. They grow in soft bottom environments, ether fore reefs or back reefs, in sandy bottoms, rubble, mixed-sand communities and common in sub tidal sea grass beds.
