Hidden Anemone

Lebrunia coralligens

You'll have to look close to recognize this anemone's tentacle tips extending out from cracks or fissures in rock or coral structures. The anemone's body is hidden below. The colors may have a bluish-green tint or brownish gray. The enlarged tips are pseudo-tentacles (false tentacles) and are generally those visible during the day. The true stinging tentacles would be out during the night for feeding. Depth for specimens about 3 feet.
