Molly Miller

Scartella cristata

The Molly Miller is a failry large blenny (four inches) and a member of what is called Combtooth Blennies. If you notice, they have red and white banded 'cirri" on the top of their head. The cirri are not branched like the Hairy Blenny's but like teeth of a comb. These two were found in about 1 foot of water on the back side of some rocks in a fairly high surge area. This couple had a Night Sergeant for a neighbor.
