Class : Amphineura

These Chitons may seem like simple creatures but they possess a heart and blood system, nerves, specialized sensory organs, a head, mouth, reproductive organs, digestive organ and an anus. There are over 800 known species. Some are carnivorous, feeding on sponges, bryozoans and other encrusting organisms and some are grazers, feeding on algae. They are fascinating animals.
